there are a couple of scenes from a nazi concentration camp and a couple of scenes with dead children which are uncomfortable but it isnt done in a frightening way.

Shutter Island is a mind f*ck film, the type you need to see twice in order to 'click' with parts.

My other half wasn't that impressed but I really enjoyed it.

Like to see shutter Island even though it didn't get great reviews. Clash of the Titans is next one on the list to see, really looking forward to seeing the CGI in that

ok cheers lewis, still dont think she will be up for a cinema showing. will have to wait for lovefilm release. looking forward to it tho. nothing like a good headf&*k film.

make your own popcorn and take it in- my favourite is curry flavour

as a good second sushi is a good cinema snack................

Your not generally allowed to take food into cinemas, there were cases in the paper not long ago, sweets been taken off a family if they wanted to enter etc.

In a way its not the cinemas fault, i know someone who did a study on one particular cinema years ago, the film companies charge so much for a cinema to screen a film that the cinema makes virtually no money on ticket sales and so has to raise revenue from the food.

When i lived in Spain, cinemas were very popular mainly because they were cheap and the food was cheap.
Here it can cost more than most peoples daily wage to take a family to the cinema :roll:

The Prince Charles cinema in London West End is £5 max ticket. And has soft seats with no arm rest in the middle. So you can get close Shows some good films too

I'm really suprised it hasn't received good reviews. To be honest i'd still have gone to see it despite reviews-the trailer looked good.

As for the food and drink issue, i bet they could quarter their prices and still be making money.

I'd buy the snacks if they were cheeper. So they are loosing sales :roll: Also
it's so cheep to buy a DVD now. May as well buy it watch it and then give to a mate or a charity shop.
