Show us your soft-tail

I had a really nice little Sunn Totall UN 1999 soft tail, sold it to The Boy recently...was a really cool little bike.

When did the term 'soft-tail' and in that fact 'hard-tail' come into use.
When I where a lad we only had a bike, then came along 'front sus', then 'rear sus' and 'full-sus'. I never remember the new modern terms being used. This was early 90's ? A bike is now know as a 'rigid'

We could also have a thread called "show us your no-tail".

I'll take the bait, just put this beauty up for BotM: Dekerf team ST.

Titanium chainstays artfully crafted onto the steel mainframe to provide the flex. rear stub houses a sealed steel spring to tune for rider weight and terrain or style. Steers like a Dekerf should but takes the edge off the trail, I love it.
This is a rider hence the carbon riser. I should take it off for BotM, but what can I say, I show 'em as I ride 'em. I considered changing the cranks to my polished Syncros forged set to complete the looks. But it works flawless and silent as is so I have resisted so far.

Enjoy!!
