Show us your Proflex........

Hooray, non-identical twins. :) I notice yours has yellow elastomers. Are they original, or did you manage to get modern replacements in the correct colour? My replacements from Suspension Fork Parts work perfectly, but they're only available in that translucent brown (seen in the post above yours). I'd really like yellow ones because that's very much how a Proflex looks in my 1990s memory.

Love your bike anyway. I love this era of full-suspension bikes generally, where nobody really knew what worked and the manufacturers were just like randomly changing up stuff (like the 954 rear triangle vs all the others).
Make my own bud 😉 My mate's 862.

Good work, looks proper. Some distant previous owner attempted "make my own" on my 854. It did not look as good as yours. It also didn't work.

But this was in the "cheap transport" phase of its life and that meant it was kept functional and meant it survived long enough to get into my hands, so I can't complain about that.

Amazing Girvin crank there. Like much of the 90s stuff I see come up in these forums I forgot that those existed.

Mine work very well, can't upload a video though.🤦🏻‍♂️

Yeah, I now realise that it might have looked like I was throwing suspicion on whether yours work or not, which was absolutely not what I meant. It's nice to know that this can be done.

All good bud I know you wasn't doubting it I was just saying because some people have just put yellow bits of plastic or wood in there and mine are functional 😉
