Re:

Looking at the dust mark on my stanchions, remember dust MacRetro? I used 68mm of travel yesterday.

Syncros bars may have to go. I can cope with the 530mm width, but being totally straight, they feel a bit weird!
May hunt for some other Syncros offerings

Wind dropped a bit, so headed out for a wee bit of semi-local exploration. Found a couple of link tracks but nothing too special. At least my curiosity about the path I pass every day heading to work is now satisfied.

So I was looking for a set of suitable suspension forks for the Scott and found these:

However the were attatched to this:

Sometimes they end up being great rides Clubby.
Its always nice to just go out exploring, finding out, like you did, where that track goes.

That Patriot is a bit...... :? ...... 'colourful'

What on earth were those forks doing on that frame??!!

Really odd isn't! Sub 100mm travel forks instead of 150mm and 165mm shock instead of 190mm.

The frame has had no use - was a replacement in 2001 for a broken UFO and has spent the last 15 years in storage not being used.

I think I will move the forks onto the carbon Scott with some nice HS33's in fluoro of course!

And what are you going to do with the frame?

I suggest burn it.

Burn it with FIRE!

Re:

Endorphin frames and Maguras are often thought to be a bad idea. Heard of cracks appearing around the studs.
Now you don't want a crack in your back end, do you?

No I do want to look after my back end thanks.
Having read a few threads on here I had thought that provided I used the Evo boosters to take the sideways load they should work well?
