Your old MTB gathering dust at the back of the garage can become a fantastic adventure / travel companion!
Take a look at my Maffioletti! I found the frame on Ebay and it took me 6 months to build this beautiful ATB/travel machine.

Thank you, yes, I've found this nice frame and wanted to build a "monster gravel" kind of bike, that can take me everywhere!
I really love the versatility of a bike, that can go offroad for short and longer trips with the possibility to mount a lowrider...

That's my first bike with v-brakes and while they're quite powerful, I may eventually switch to cantilevers for their better modulation.

My expedition bike journey began back in the early to mid 2000's when I almost bought a Dawes Sardar but ended up buying a marin muirwoods instead. (why did I do that...)

The marin didn't end up being the bike I hoped it would be so my thoughts always went back to the bike that got away. Over the years I toyed with the idea of the Orbit Romany and Expedition, the Dave Yates expedition frame (I think it was called the Wayfarer), I even considered the Dave Yates frame building course to build my own. None of which happened for various reasons. Of course, the Roberts Rough Stuff sat up there...
