I was just admiring that Dawes mixte and wondering what the bar attachment was. Then I realised it is your car's for handle. Doh!

Re:

Sorry, mental note to self - find better backdrops for my photos!
Sadly her front wheel was written off today on the Ripon Revolution sportive :(. A woman at the front of a bunch decided to stop and take her jacket off. In the crash behind her my wife's front wheel got buckled when her friend beside her couldn't get out of her clips, and fell over. Fortunately only the wheel was damaged and I had a spare front wheel off another bike at home, to get her going again.
So now I'll have to find a pair of rims, because I like matched pairs and I sure won't find one to match the rear.

Autumn Royal by JuanM58, on Flickr

A couple of snaps of my Raleigh Royal set up for autumn and winter touring with Wilkinson's thermos. The seaside pic is Dymchurch I think. It's a nice nimble ride even when well loaded up comfortable over longish distances. Definitely a keeper; I have a big overhaul/rebuild planned over the summer when we are both off the road.

Here's my re-worked Raleigh Equipe which I took on tour to Normandy last summer for the St Malo and Mont St Michel time trials. She never flinched, a beautiful bike to ride.
