Funny detail of my (SCOTT) FUNK. The half moon cable stops on the top tube are riveted-on. Not welded. Maybe a sign of "early" versions as well.

Concerning the seat clamp above. I bet this is just a Monday morning bike and the welder was still drunk from the weekend Sometimes the explanations are very easy :-D

I just quickly installed a front derailleur to see if the design could work ... not proper adjusted but enough to check the function ... and YES it rocks

This is from 1991 and other than the seat clamp it’s the same.

It’s not retro (pre-2012) but I should have it finished this year…. Working on the headtube badge at the mo.

Which head badge might that be on your ad from 1991 above?

It's from the resurrected Funk Cycles company i.e >2000 and not retro (yet).

The eagled eyed will have noticed that I've changed the gold between the lions legs to blue and have tweaked the Colorado flag on mine. I checked with Daryl first and he's given it the thumbs up.
