Should I buy this?

Should I buy this rather nice 1992 Diamondback Apex?

Really haven't got the room for another bike and certainly no use for one either, but are they valid reasons?
Just for once I have stopped myself before committing to anything.

Not cheap at 180 quid, but in as new condition,DX components,my size and with the original T-Bone stem to replace that high rise nasty.

So do I purchase or keep my powder dry for another day

Thats the same as longendale's, that he rode at the Real Ale Wobble, Wales. It never missed a beat 8)

Proper old school DB, nice, however not £180 nice though

It's a nice enough bike, but £180 is way out of line. I'd say an Apex of that vintage would generally fetch £50-75. OK, it's in as-new condition, but so what? If you were going to part it out, you'd struggle to make a profit on £180, even though DX is good kit. The kind of person to whom it could be worth £180 is a DB collector who really wants an Apex, would use it a lot and to whom the fact that the parts are as-new would be a practical advantage as they should last a while. But it doesn't sound as though you're that person.

Thanks, more or less confirmed my thoughts.

Did try to get the price down, but the chap seems blinded by the price he paid in 1992 and the excellent condition.
Would have been happy to pay up to £120, but the powder stays dry for another day.

If anyone is that collector who really must have it, pm me and i will pass the details on

I think even Jango and MadCowKev would laugh at £180
