Shorts repair???

I have a bit of an asymetric position on my seat. Doesn't cause a great deal of problems, but the threading on the chamois in my bikeshorts tends to come out after a while on one side. Does anyone know what the best way is to fix this? What kind of thread to use? Have tried it before with normal thread, but that never lasts long :( .
Advice is appreciated. Cheers.

My mate gets this with his motocross stuff,he uses very fine fishing line instead now, lasts for ages, hope this helps

Thanks. Sounds good, durability wise, but isn't it terribly uncomfortable between your skin and seat?

Hemming tape the stuff you use to hem your trouser legs may do it if worried about burning shorts with iron then put damp towel over it whilst doing

well unless you go commando under your shorts :P

ah ok,scrub that idea, theres a strong cotton that is used for army/navy stuff that may be your next best option, cant remember what its called though

Cheers, I'm sure I can find something like that. Now the difficult part, coming up with something nice enough for my girlfriend, so she will fix my shorts.....
