shoot me - eBay special

I saw this and thought it looked fairly unmolested and unloved so have bought it unseen (for not a lot of money). Ill see how the parts clean up and I like the lugs so I'll see how bad the frame is. I don't even know the size!. I'm gonna have to stop mixing drink and eBay

Re:

My post was a bit tongue in cheek tbh. It was a punt because it looks very original. There’s a chance of original Campag BB. There’s a fair bit of corrosion on some of the hardware but I’ll just do the best I can with solvol. I’ll pick it up next week and see if it’s worth painting. Fingers crossed

Re: Brian Rourke EBay find.

My spontaneous reaction to the photo of the frame is that it is café racer. Why, i hear you all ask. Because it's only got one set of bottle cage bosses. :D and unless you have the anatomy of a camel or you are only planning on short rides, you are going to be forced to stop at a caf for a cuppa or two. It is however a very good and legitimate reason for stopping.
Nice colour, I had a Roberts painted in that colour a long time ago.
The whole thing didn't go under your radar. You obviously have a trained eye for quality & a bargain. Good luck with it.
Regards.

Re:

A completely "All About the Bike" great machine from one of the best frame makers / bike builders. Well spotted and well bought! And yes, terrific forks - so British but with an Italian look. Mmmmm! Guessing this was a one-off build for a very discerning (and well off) client.

Nothing wrong with a spot of something with an ebay mixer, obviously.
