Shocking. And Not. Sad. Interesting. Compulsive viewing

I, as well as most people I would imagine, had no idea just how many nuclear explosions there have been!!!

It really makes you wonder about how all that nuclear crap in the atmosphere has affected things like cancer and asthma rates...

sadly I did know how many there had been.

I thought it a really simple but interesting animation.

Madness.

Worrying....

As a child of 1957, the sky is lit up that year.

No S.A or Israel though......

A very sobering animation, thanks for sharing

I always wondered about those things, the tests, just what damage did they do. Below ground, the tektonic plates above ground global warming. The question is, is the world of today reaping the start of what may come because of few men's desire to create the ultimate destructive weapon ? If man does not push the red button, will the earth do it for us ?

All that intense heat and vibration just must have done something as for every action there must be is an equal and opposite reaction. The earth moves slowly in it's business maybe the total reaction is yet to come.

But just think, when mankind has finally realised the furtility of war and we have at last started to learn to love each other, it might just be too late for the reaction to past pissing competitions might very well physicaly reshape the land we call home, mother earth.

If the radiance of a thousand sunns were to burst at once into the sky ,
that would be like the splendor of the mighty one .

" i am become Death the destroyer of worlds "

do you think Oppenheimer thought that one day all this may just come back and take a HUGE bite out of our arses .
