Shock rebuild tips

My ARC AS has been neglected. I've decided to have the frame refinished and bring it back to its former glory. I would like to service the shock along the way. Can anyone give me any tips?? All my other bikes are hardtails and I have never touched the shock, I think it is a Risse?? Maybe I should see if I can send it in to them. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Most important tip is make sure everything is spotlessly clean before you start and also when you re-assemble it. Can't help with the tech side on these shocks.

if it is a Risse they do shock service still, but only in the USA (the british outlet folded [CVI]). The guy to help at Risse USA is Josh.
