I am starting to get some quotes for the ridiculousness of overseas shipping... the seatposts are coming out as $36 for surface mail, and $62 for Xpresspos for one post around half a kilo box weight. Its the box dimensions that are the problem more than the mass. Two seatposts together is only about $4 more for surface, and $12 more for xpresspost.

What's it like shipping the other way (UK to Canada) ? Box dimension I used was 45cm x 7cm x 7cm and 0.5kg for one seatpost.

Worse from the UK, volumetric weight is the killer, try sending a frame! £250-£350 easy. :cry: :cry: :cry:

I think frames from canada to the UK, even xpressposted are less than that. Like maybe half that (when taking the pound to dollar exchange into account). Of course it does help to shrink the frame box as much as possible. Suspension frames for example can be dismantled somewhat, and fit them into boxes normally used for shipping wheels instead.
