Shipping from USA ?

Does Anyone have any recent experence of costs involved in shipping a bike over from USA?

thinking of bidding on a bike but want to have a rough idea of shipping costs?

Holy crap ... Done some online quote with a company and he came out at £250 + to ship ?? Surley this aint right?? Anyone.... need to bid before I go to bed

try UPS or DHL those are the best from what i have gatherd. Roughly about 200 us with dhl was a quote i got to ship fron north carolinia to sweden

a complete bike in a standard bike box via UPS, DHL or FedEx will be around $450US. cheaper it's only using USPS but the box needs to be custom built or a frame box needs to be used to fit the USPS size limit of 108" length + girth. a complete bike won't fit into such a box hence wheels need to go in a second box. expect $150-180US for two boxes. but in the end it depends on how the seller is willing to ship it. most seller don't want the hassle with USPS shipping and insist on UPS or FedEx.

expect to pay about 25% of purchase price + shipping costs to the custom gorillas...

finally, there are plenty of threads on this topic with much info. do a search.
