Chaps who is the best for sending frames around the uk, i'm selling a couple of frames, so am looking for a good courier to use, without having to set up an account with them.

thanks for your views

Parcel Force
DHL
Parcels2Go

Not massive differences in price (£10 - 15) and all have served me well, just depends on the most convenient for you i guess.

I use DHL via www.ppwexpress.com. It'll cost you £7 to post a frame on a 1 to 2 days service, or £7.50 for a 24 hour.

I had an issue where DHL failed to collect and ppwexpress were incredibly helpful - answered the phone immediately, rang me back, etc.

Have always just used Royal Mail Standard Parcels - lots of bubble and bike box from local shop. Fully insured if required, takes around 1-3 days and costs around £10 to £12. No problems yet with quite a few sent.

I havent used the others, so i dont know if this is standard practise, but parcel2go actually collect, rather than having to take it to some delivery depo

Do not use TNT

I had a frame sent from crow down south to the north of Scotland and the, as Kaiser says, barstewards, charged £55  This was after qouting £18 and delivering. They came back and asked for the difference.
I have always used royal mail and it always comes in under £14.

Cost me £19 to send a bike and stuff package to Devon with parcelforce 24
Despite all the horror stories from royalmail/parcelforce,id trust them more than other smaller companies to get there undamaged ,as long as its tracked ,recorded and insured and thats usually not too expensive things go smoothly
