Shipping Frame to Germany

Another shipping cost question....

I've tried Parcel2Go and Parcel Force and both have given obscene quotes (£80+) for shipping a frame to Germany.

I've entered a box size of 100 x 70 x 30cm, not exactly what the box would be i guess but probably the same volume (which is what the cost is calculated on).

Surely there must be a cheaper way (like £30 :D )?

If you can get it down to 100 x 60 x 20 it's £33 with parcel2go. I've done exactly that to Germany and Portugal and they were 20" and 22" frames respectively.

I posted a Breezer frame to Denmark at a cost of around £35 with Parcel Force. Standard International Parcels, I think. Comes with £150 insurance which you can enhance. Cut a bike box down in height, width and length.

That's ridiculous. You can ship a frame across the Atlantic pond for ~$50. Gas and Union laborers/drivers must be real expensive over there WOW!

Yup, it's also far cheaper to ship from mainland europe to the UK too; apparantly up to 7x more expensive to use DHL UK than DHL Germany.
