Sounds like an STD/Pirate disease. Hurts like broken ribs. Means you have to sit about like an arse when you could be out bicycling.Buggering flip. Happy Friday!

Re:

Had it several years ago and I know what you feel like.

When I had it not only did I get the rash etc I got the worst headaches I have ever had, when it started i didn't know what it was, and it was just after my uncle had died from a brain tumour, as a result I had to call my parents to take me to the hospital, never had pain like it. I know suffer from migraine headaches every now and then which I am sure stem from that horrible illness

Feel better dude.

Re:

Ta, JB...much appreciated-no headaches as of yet, although that may be down to the weird mix of pills (including an anti-depressant-whats all that aboot?) my Dr gave me....on the plus side, my giddy brain's getting all creative... I've a strange desire for my next frame build to resemble an old Saab 900 Turbo  :?

I got that last Christmas. Mine were not quite debilitating but still hurt and itched like hell... finding a good position to sleep was quite annoying as well. Take your antiviral medication and hopefully in a couple of weeks they're gone. The good news is: it's quite unlikely they're going to pop up again. The older you are when you get them, the worse a case you get. Luckily I didn't get any headaches, just skin issues.

Had them twice, second time they got infected so spent a few weeks laid up. It's really boring having shingles like you say! I can remember just feeling totally washed out for weeks. I didn't get any headaches or anything infact other than the slightly itchy rash (in my fecking armpit!) just a feeling that I was running on empty, tooks a while to get my energy levels back up to 100%.
Take it very easy for a while even after you feel better, I underestimated how much it had taken out of me and consequently over did it! Get well soon!

Re:

Thanks, good people-good to know I'm not alone! Yes on anti-virals, nearly ran out though so prob re-order more by the sounds of it.....still bored...

I've no idea what this is and praise the universe ive never had it.

Thoughts go out to go---------buy beer buy beer make it more pleasant

Had it a couple of times - itchy and painful along a nerve that came from my back around to my chest. Never realised there was any kind of treatment so just got on with it.

Re:

Nearly gone noo, trippy medication and boring rest helped, three weeks without cyclings or framebuildings of any kind wasn't good but hey! I've read a lot of good books so not all bad...
