Shimano XTR 8speed CN-IG90 Chain

I keep missing these in the auctions so I wanted t see what alternatives that you folks may have found that work well with a like new 8 speed CS M900 cassette. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty much any 8 or 9 speed chain should work. I've never really noticed any difference in shifting performance between Campagnolo, Shimano or SRAM chains. Personally, I like Campagnolo Record 9 speed chains, they seem to last a lot longer than the 9 speed SRAM and Shimano chains I've had.

Shimano chians seem to run very smooth and quiet; however in my experience they are also pitifully short lived - I used to get about half the life of a SRAM. Personally I use SRAM mostly, others recommend KMC.
