Something wrong here.... 6500 is 9-speed. Sure it's not missing a sprocket?

The threaded lockring is a cs-6500 (9 Speed)
But the main cassette is an 8-speed.so the outer ring is not original
This was recently removed from an 8-speed wheel
Hope this clears it up

Still looks wrong to me....

That type of metal plating came in on 9 speed.

Unless it is a 9 speed cassette respaced to 8-speed.

Correct cassette for 8-speed Ultegra was HG70/1 and HG90/1 which weren't drilled out. Dura-ace 8.speed cassette had matt surface and wasn't drilled out either.

If top 3 sprockets have spider, they are 9-speed.
