Advice please

I have a full Shimano M550 LX Groupset:

Crankset (with biopace rings and original caps)
Bottom bracket with original bearings
Chain
Cassette (inc spoke protector)
Front Mech
Rear Mech (original jockey wheels)
Brake calipers (with original pads and cable straddle)
STI units
Hubs (currently laced to a set of Avaya rims)

All logos and stickers are intact (with the exception of one of the 'Shimano' brake lever stickers)

Everything on this is original. It is in very good used condition.

Ideas of price please?

Thanks

Ade

Re:

Here's my estimates in italics.

Crankset (with biopace rings and original caps) - £30-£40
Bottom bracket with original bearings - Cup and cone...? £10-£15
Chain - £5
Cassette (inc spoke protector) - £10-£15
Front Mech - £8-15
Rear Mech (original jockey wheels) - £12-£18
Brake calipers (with original pads and cable straddle) - £12-£18
STI units - £10-£15
Hubs (currently laced to a set of Avaya rims) - Pair of wheels - £40-£50 - Hubs only £15-25

You can probably double the asking prices if you go down the route of being an established seller on eBay.

Thanks for your input. I have put the whole groupset up for £150 (£175 on Ebay to cover fees etc) - I am an established trader on Ebay with 100% feedback spread over 10 years.

Sounds like my estimates were about right then.

The note about eBay trading wasn't a pop at you by the way. It's just that there are a couple of eBay regulars who constantly list stuff at (in my opinion) vastly inflated BIN prices. It kind of kills the market for many, unless you can take a 'money is no object' stance.

Anyway, good luck with the sale.

Re:

Think you'll be very lucky to get anywhere near that at the moment tbh. Many of the parts (chain, cassette, shifters) seem to struggle to make enough to make it worth your while where as I've sold DX versions of the crankset, cantis and mechs for less then quoted after having to drop the price.

As a guide I payed £50 for a Deore groupo (minus chain, cassette and wheels) for £50 and payed the same for a set of M730 XT hubs on Mavic 231's.

If you can sell it for that though, good one!
