Hey,

I have a Klein Rascal with Campagnolo Bullet shifters, fron and rear record or mechs and I was wondering whether these are compatible with a shimano cassette and chain as I dont have the money for a wheel rebuild with campag kit just yet

it might work but you'll still burn in hell for breaking the commandments of bicycle building

thou shalt not mix shimano with thy neighbour's campag

I have run a mix of Campagnolio Record and Delta with Shimano 600 on my road bike for about 15 years with no problems

thanks guys.

its a short term fix. Until I can source/buy/afford to build my campag wheels I want to put my 7 speed Shimano wheels on the bike so I can ride it!!!!

Thanks for the help!!

Well, I am confident it'll work.

I run Campag wheels (Ventos) through Shimano 600 mechs with a Shimano chain, and shifting is silky smooth.

yeah i just tried the shimano 7speed wheels on the bike and it works great. The shifters are indexed for a 8speed campagnolo as I managed to borrow a friends set but the shift good too on the 7speed Shimano.

I shall now ride!!!

Campag 7 and 8 have exactly the same cog spacing (5mm) so it should be perfect.

Simano narrowed it down when going for 8 speed to 4.8mm.
