Shimano 7 speed - Orange P7

Had a look at my 1995/96 Orange P7 earlier today ( brilliant mountain bike) and I am thinking of getting it out again for some hill bashing in the summer. It has a shimano LX 7 speed groupset on it and a few items need replacing. Anyone know if new bottom bracket, chainrings, cassette are still available? The BB has a tapered spindle. The threaded headset looks like it is 1 inch diameter - am I right.

The headset is 1" and all the bits you need will be available somewhere. Just keep an eye on the 'for sale' area of this forum and ebay.

Just make sure you post some pics in readers bikes..

You can still get new LX bbs (now UN54) and cassettes. Chainrings are the same for 7-speed as 9-speed. Last time I looked Chain Reaction only had 1" headsets in 105, but I don't think there's much difference really. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/ postage included in price and usually seems to arrive almost before you placed the order
