shimano 600 tricolour 6400 groupset plus many more bits.

The stem is the XA stem just to avoid confusion this stem is immaculate and commands a higher price than a standard stem for those still interested. The bars are 63-40 bars. There is a graze of sorts on the underside of the top of the bars, this may polish out. The bars are also scratched where the brakes were attached.Price wise I'm not too sure but on ebay the stem is selling for £45 or there abouts (NOS is selling for £90) so I dont think this price is too excessive. The bars perhaps £20 I'm not sure.
Thanks

If available, could I make a bid for the seat post and possibly the frame, depending on the level of damage it's suffered ?

Thanks

I've attempted to show the extent of the damage to the frame by holding a spirit level parallel to the top tube and the down tube. There is a slight bend in the frame but hardly noticeable, but up to you guys really(the bend is vertical and not horizontal). All I can say is the joints are all sound and you need a set of forks, I could do a good deal on the frame should anyone wish to purchase more of the components. You may be able to have the frame straightened. Price wise this is very difficult due to the damage, however it has to be worth something. I'll say £50 but obviously open to offers and like I stated I'm happy to let her go for less should anyone want to buy more and if anyone wants to take the lot the deal will be even better :) Any more questions please feel free to ask.

This is a campagnolo chorus aero seatpost. The seat post has been marked due to the grub screw on the vitus frame. The screw was designed to bight into the seat post as apposed to clamping around it. Apart from this the seat post has retained its like new appearance.Price wise on ebay these are up for £25.
Thanks

The headset has race type bearings that are contained securely within their own housing and not loose. They can be removed from their housing allowing the removal and replacement of worn bearings. The bearings and headset are immaculate and rotate smoothly with no resistance.

The wheels are mavic GP4 rims with shimano 600 tricolour hubs and skewers. The original continental giro tubs are still on the wheels and show little signs of wear (although the front is punctured). They have only covered approximately 500-1000 and this was in the first year of use some 24 or so years ago,I was 17/18 years old and now I am 42.They have not been used at all in 24 years. The braking surface shows little signs of wear and the spokes and hubs are gleaming. They spin true and fast with no signs of wear.I'll leave the 12-25 cassette in place. They were built by Martyn Ashfiels cycles in Risca in 1989/90 and are like new.The chain is available too.I would like £120 for these as they are superb.

The cranks have a slight polishing from my shoes but are in beautiful condition as they have only covered 500-1000 miles. The tricolour stickers are still in place. The bottom bracket rotates smoothly and the bearings show very little signs of use. The teeth on the chainrings are immaculate. One worn bottom bracket and crankset on ebay sold for £55 so I am looking for £70 really but I am happy to discuss the price. The sale includes the cranks, bottom bracket and 52,42 chainrings.

Thanks for the detailed pictures.
On balance, I don't think I'm interested. TBH, surely the frame has to be regarded as scrap.
Straightening steel frames is just about ok, if done properly. I don't think the same can be said for these.
I'd take the frame for a tenner, just for interest's sake, to see how they're put together, but to build into a rideable bike ? No chance :)

Thank you for your reply.I am not attempting to or recommending to anyone that the frame is suitable for a bike re-build.It is a piece of history, all be it a damaged one but it may have been of some interest to someone. If thats not you then thats fine.I also dont know the limitations of this type of frame material so that suggestion was purely an idea. Thanks for you interest.
