Shimano 600 brake lever - gone slack

Hi all,

Installing a pair of Shimano 600 levers and upon testing, one of the levers has gone slack and lost its spring motion, meaning the lever is not doing anything. Can this be fixed? Thanks!

For reference, it's a bl-6208

Usually the caliper has enough spring to pull the cable back. If not, check for friction in the cabling - it won't be helping braking efficiency.

^^, I've generally found problems with the brake or cable on 600 stuff.
Some frames mind you don't help with the position of the cable stop near the rear brake making a tight bend a necessity.
