Thanks for the links to the Aubisque. I was just curious to see it. Looks like it was an entry level model, but not too bad. My mother was thrilled to see one after twenty odd years. It's a shame how so many of the French brands seemed to disappear in the nineties.
And thanks for the info on the groupset. The bike is full 1056 except for the front mech, which has been replaced with an MTB Alfine, so I will have to have a poke around for one. Unfortunately one previous owner had lots of the bits dipped in pink metallic paint, and another previous owner tried and failed to remove it with a blunt instrument, so the chainset and front brake are scratched silver with little lingering bits of pink scattered around. All works well though - I couldn't believe the braking performance for the age.
Frame number of the Rourke is 555.
