She’s pretty much done (for now) - Caroline Alexander’s Klein Pulse - Racing History, no less.

Great job! Great bike! Great pesentation!

I'm just a little bit irritated about the brake adjustment. They should be symmetrical left to right?
Not worth getting irritated about to be honest but just for you here are photos which hopefully will ease your irritation…

After a 6 hour round trip for a low rise stem for this build, I can now say that (barring some ongoing work) she’s pretty much done.

I’ll keep looking for an unbroken left crank (even JG can’t spare one so my chances are slim) and although the seatpost turns i want to get it out and clean the seat tube and get the replacement post in. Zip locks are annoying. But I’m not downing tools on it just yet.

That being said, she’s pretty good and a nice ride to boot.

Thanks all for tuning in.

Every day is a learning day. The left hand crank arm is broken as we know and I thought the Chainset was a joystix by JG. As I have been researching today it appears that there is a a Hyper-C crank which I wasn’t even aware existed. So I’ve learnt something new today. The only difference is a 94mm for the Hyper and a 110mm for the Stix. Both left crank arms appear to be very similar - there is a variation in the design as can be seen but it isn’t major.

So, after a very quick search I found a same length set in the US which should be shipped to me shortly. It’ll need some work but I’m ok with that.

As ever, even more to come.

I think that was well worth the 6 hour round trip. I'm sure Caroline would approve. 👌

Another update. That bitch! Not even a smearing of grease to be seen. 🤦🏽‍♂️😻
