Shaun Palmer's Hardtails...

I can't really find any pictures of his hardtails he used.

I remember seeing a clip years ago of him riding really low to the ground, pumping jumps and going full speed in corners on what looked like a simple bike.

About 7 years ago I rode a bike which I believe might have been Will Longen's Specialized hardtail. Coming from a BMX background I've always like the feel of small bikes. This bike felt amazing, it has red Manitous and a small red frame. I believe it was an M2 S-Works. So light and snappy.

I'm wondering what setup Palmer used to ride. I've seen pics of his red frame, red fork, XTR V's. Did he use anything after this? Maybe a black frame?

Do you guys think these bikes could still stand up in races against modern 4x bikes?

he used the palmer mani green forks as well. mavic cross max at some point. newer style suspension fork & disc brakes seem to be the only major changes in 4X in recent years.

I once had the chance to fondle 1 of palmers early ex intense M1 DH bikes. loads of extra reinforcing braces bolted on to strengthen & stiffen. frame number re "napalm"
