Set of wheels XT, Hope or whatever.

I'm after a moderate to good set of XC wheels. I need them to be 26 inch rim brake wheels with a 9 speed compatible hub, but after that the world is my oyster! I've already got LX hubs, so the hubs would have to be better than them, with Mavic XC style rims preferably. They would also need to be true and not need rebuilding as I don't have the tools for it.

I would bite your hand off if you could offer black rims and spokes, but I appreciate that might not happen. The presence of a 9 speed cassette would also be welcome.

Budget wise I'd be looking to spend about £100 but can go higher for a nicer pair.

Bit left field, but what about a set of DT rim brake rims (black, with a silver, unused braking surface) black spokes, Hope (Pro, I think, and they're 6 bolt disc) hubs? Bearings are new, wheels are true, all in brilliant condition, black rear hub, silver front.

Thanks for the offer, but they're for a bike that doesn't have disc mounts and I don't really like the look of disc hubs with no discs attached, sorry.

I have a pair of XT M737 hubs with Ritchey WCS rims, got them NOS a while back and hardly used, and then road miles only (roughly 60miles max) After that stored inside.

£60 posted for the pair incl 8sp cassette (SRAM i think from memory) can fit 9sp though.

Any good?
