The bearings are easy to change. They are 60012RS if I recollect and can be picked up for £3-4 a bearing. The best/easiest way for changing the bearings is to heat the alloy of the hub bearing housings with a Black and Decker heat gun very slightly. The cartridge will literally drop in and out then and there is no need for any type of force as the new bearing will drop in housing. Heating the housing causes it to expand at a quicker rate than the steel of the bearing creating clearance. You can also cool the new bearings in the freezer for 30 mins to make the clearance greater as the cold will shrink the bearing.
