Serious question now......uk mtb museum

All mtb's or English heritage mtb's? either way a good idea. Is their not a cycle museum already?

Combined with a trail centre maybe?

The guy that bought my Lobo was / is planning something like this, with a hotel or air bnb type deal. His aim was late 90’s early 00’s downhill bikes though.

Very niche, very short lifespan and a very small demographic to cater to.

You only have to look at the core members of each website to see how many real fan(atics) there are

The one good thing about bicycles is that they can be ridden and easily maintained, it is the worst thing to see bikes sat on walls or in static displays.

The idea of being able to ride the bikes on trails is a good one though but then theres the costs, insurance etc etc etc

It only needs a subsection in the Coventry museum.
We have a smaller version (Coventry is the big one? Never been) in Hull too, has an old cycle shop and bikes through the history up to modern times.

Brigg would be a nice place as Barton isn't too far either. (historical connections)

But who in their right mind would come over here to look at bikes.

Stick it in the peaks, central and actually somewhere to ride.
And then somehow get some money to keep it going, unless it someone's garage.

What's your idea Chris?
