Sending suspension forks overseas safely

This may be a question with an easy answer, but I'm about to send some Mag 21s overseas. As they operate on presurised oil should I be doing anything particular to make them safe for air transit?

You could let the air out I guess so they are no longer pressurised, I don’t think you will lose the oil as well, just keep them upright as you do it.

Re:

My set of bomber superflys came through the post from the Netherlands with no air in & were fine

Re:

Thanks - though they may well have come via lorry on the chunnel - mine are be going to Canada, so will likely go in the hold of a passenger aircraft. I think any sort of oil is classed as a dangerous good... :?

Re:

They'll be fine, at most just drop the pressure a few psi but you should'nt need to completely deflate. The cargo area of aircraft is pretty much the same pressure as the cabin due to the shape of the fuselage. I've sent my bikes all over the world including NZ and OZ without any issue, and they've been full sus with reverb dropper posts.

Hope that helps dude
