Seen this yet...? New Jones!

DeKerf, Ritchey and KHS all made steel softail frames that relied on chainstay flex for the "pivot".

You don't mention whether they all snapped...?

I'm already standing corrected, so form a queue :P

I thinks its a great idea, makes the spaceframe affordable for Joe Public. The Ti versions won't loose there exclusivity but they will loose their nicheness (if thats a word), which probably isnt a bad thing.

Also prefer the painted look of the black one, maybe more colours would be good, but thats just my preference. Raw/polished frames whilst nice to look at just aren't my cup of tea.

not digging the all-black look. Bit of colour might help

I think I prefer the all black! :D

super ninja cool 8)

I so, SO, want one! Just stunning. And would I care if silly, shallow, people didn't recognise its perfection? No, I would NOT.

I must buy more Lotto tickets....

I like the steel Spaceframe, but that other thing is a bust. At least the Buck Shaver LOOKED like a Fat.

Now that I think of it, that new simplified Jones thing could pass as a Buck Shaver!

At least you don't have to look at it when the sun's gone down....

You wont know where it IS when the sun goes down!

I like the look of the diamond frame Jones - less wacky, but the same geometry. And $750 frame and fork.

I think this will all hinge on whether it rides true to the original philosophy which, I believe, was to harness the inherent springiness (it's a technical term) of ti & direct it vertically with as little horizontal or tortional flex as possible, to give a stiff, fast ride with some of the all-day comfort of a bouncer. If the steel still fits that bill & isn't just weighed down with a bunch of tubes for the sake of looking like a Jones, then it should be a winner...

I don't see why that shouldn't be the case so long as it hasn't just ended up a heavy lookey-likey.

Can't wait to start seeing them about 8)
