Seatpost size?

Hi all, I have a Klein Quantum, your classic 27.2 seatpost.
In an effort to find a Shimano 600 post I came across a mint period aeropost, I bought it as it as only $20nzd (10pounds).
However I got it home and found it was 27.0 :?
Is using this post going to detriment the bike in anyway?
The post will be 11.5cm into the frame with approx 10-11cm up to the rails out of the frame...

it will more than likely slip, and if you try and tighten the clamp too much you might damage it (the clamp). a shim might be possible, but you would be better off finding a post that is the correct size. 27.2 is a very common size so it should be easy enough.

you will snap the clamp bolt lug
don't do it

Are you sure? I wouldn't have thought 0.2 of a mm would make enough of a difference to cause that much damage, especially if I use a spacer...

it'll be fine, make sure its tight but clearly don't force it..0.2mm is going to do nothing, it'd take a fair bit of snapping.
