Seat Post diameter - Pro Flex 453

Hi,
Knackered old seat post out of the frame...at last.
Probably the original post, but maybe an upgrade as it was a USE post (1") with a steel shim to make it fit.

My woes came from the steel shim rusting and bonding to the frame and the alloy post welding itself to the shim !

So.... Has anyone got a 453 or similar steel framed Proflex to measure the seat post please ?

The scrap post and shim are no use, the 26.6 seat post from my old Proflex Arcardia ( that I thought would fit ) is just a tad too tight...
I had a search here and on the net, nothing to really help, even Mr Brown's list didn't have the 453 listed.

Could it be a 26.0mm or 26.2mm post....any help would be cool.

I have the the saddle mounting parts from the USE seatpost in purple if anyone is interested....good condition.
I was surprised to see they listed these parts on the CRC website... £18 new by the looks of things.
Maybe I could be a swap for these parts for the seat post I need for my build ?

I have a Proflex 454, see my signature and my Avatar, I use a shim with a USE seatpost, i'll check my shim when I can but the bike is at the back of my shed, may be able to drag it out tomorrow.

This one had a USE post and shim too, so maybe it was a period upgrade ?

This one is quite a tatty blue 453, but I think with a bit of care I can get the old girl back on the dirt.
It's got a few dings and scratches, the seat tube top clamp area has seen better days, but hey, it's the only 453 frame I have to build back up, so I'll give it a go.
Have you ever changed the BB ?
The one I removed was 68 x 120....does this look standard to your bike ?

I'm fitting a set of period Rock Shox and a pretty much standard groupset.
