Scott ransom

Hi,

Ransom is a nice bike with lots of travel. I've got a Ransom 20 with a carbon frame. I do mostly trail riding / all mountain but it works nicely at skiing resort downhilling as well. Sometimes the weight and clumsiness can be felt, especially in uphills & tight, twisty trail.

I like the adjustable rear shock since it gives the possibillity to shorten the travel for flatter trails. I use the adjustability quite a lot actually, usually switching between 90mm and 165mm travels but hardly ever use the full lock-out.

However, the high pressure needed for the shock is also its weakest point, also for the fact that not all shops (that can service Fox & Rock Shox) are able to service it. Since it's been designed around that shock, it's really difficult to use any other shock though.

I hear you can use a dhx in it. I need a shock pump for it and can't seem to find one. Any ideas? I have fallen in love with the bike. It's amazing. Shock does worry me though I must admit.
