Schwinn / Lawwill 4 Banger

One of my favorit bikes passing in front of me and I just invest in other one ....

Hope you manage to find that solution and keep the bike because it is really a nice set!

I don't want to buy it (well I do but no money) but would just like to say I've had a beautiful raven frame off barney and it was spotless!Great guy to deal with type bump (oh and I kept the raven couldn't bring myself to part with her)

Thanks jskdog - I'm glad you kept the Dale ;)

One quick note about the forks - I've just spoken with Tim from Sideways Cycles. He's pulled the forks apart and the internals are all absolutely fine, with the exception of the damper rod, which had a couple of small nicks in it. I've now had Tim replace this (an additional £23), so the forks will be as good as new (his words!).

Every single O Ring and Seal is also being replaced as part of the service so they'll feel spanking gorgeous!

Cheers

Unfortunately, it'll always be the case for me at the moment that a bike has to go when a bill has to be paid. Hours being cut to 30hrs/week (previously 37) doesn't help matters :(

The sensible side of me tells me not to buy them in the first place, but the bike-loving side of me ignores the advice, especially when such nice bikes keep crossing my path!

Hopefully I'll have a few more bits for sale soon, which will mean I get to keep the Schwinn. Until then I have to keep it listed just in case I need to sell it :(

That is so true!

Gutted - been there myself a few years ago when the recession first bit. I'm a surveyor and the construction industry took a battering and the company I work for decided to cut salaries rather than make people redundant, that combimed with my old Beemer costing a fortune in repairs meant that I couldn't justify keeping my two bikes that I had at the time - a Chameleon and a Solid Flair play bike.

As I was only really riding DH / FR stuff on the Solid, I decided to sell the Chameleon (massive mistake), but then another big car bill meant that I changed the Solid for a Patriot, which I hated. Before I knew it I had no bike.

Hope you manage to find a way to keep it as it does look like a real peach.
