Hi. Been into bikes since I was a schoolboy in S. London, hence the Herne Hill reference. Now I'm retired I've decided to do a bit of bike restoration and riding, trying to keep up with my sons in law...

Sadly I threw away my vintage road bike a few years ago and replaced it with a modern hybrid. Nice bike but not quite the same.

So my current mission is to:
1. Build an off-road fun bike
2. Build a classic racer a bit like my old Gillott with Campag gears, and tubs...

Hello Dave. Welcome. This link viewforum.php?f=32 should get you to the East Midlands section and there is a chats and rides thread where we post up the Tuesday night ride, 2 hours of gentle off-road riding followed by the pub. PM me for more info.
