How the hell do you lot manage to find things like Marin Palisades in skips? More to the point, how do you talk the men in fluoro jackets into letting you fish them out of the skip?
Our local recycling centre is staffed by jobsworths who won't let you take anything. I'd be surprised if they didn't get edgy about you breathing their air.

my local landfill guys aren't jobsworths they are pikey gorillas who have an incline as to what things are worth

My local recycling centre just up the road leave them out on display and charge about a fiver each - they even have a Portakabin 'shop'...

That sounds like a good idea. Around here it is a bit bleak to be honest we have chavs, drunks and druggies and we have produced some right nut jobs like a 7/7 bomber and Karen Mathews.
