To be honest if it were near to me I don’t think I’d have gone more than that unless it had been for a keeper or had better drivetrain/wheelset. With commission and tax that’s about £150?
Did you leave an autobid on easy or a bid direct with the auction?
That’s good, at least it means it was a real bidder! I’ve known less scrupulous auctioneers take bids from the wall when someone has left a bid with them that’s higher than what they valued the guide price. I’ve had some real bargains but also been surprised when stuff has gone through the roof. There was a Klein road bike at my local auction last year that had a guide of £100 and went I think for over £600.Auto bid of £90 plus a further bid of £10.
No knowing how much the other bidder would have gone to.
