Saracen Tufftrax 1990 100% original - for sale

Big Peter

Retro Newbie
Here is my 100% original 1990 Saracen Tufftrax 22" in mint condition up for sale. It has been ridden perhaps 25 times in its life, and 5 of those have been recently where it rides perfectly. It has the cro-mo frame, with shimano exage 400 LX gears and brakes etc. together with the famous Tioga Farmer John's Nephew tyres which have no cracks whatsoever as the bike has been hanging from my garage rafters rather than standing for the last 20 years. It was bought the same day in 1990 as the Specialized Rockhopper I also have listed for sale so I have had it from new.

Happy to accept offers over £100 for it.

Any questions drop me line.

I have a 1990 Tufftrax frame set just like this one in terms of size. Sadly mine is in a far less than immaculate state.
I've had it built up and ridden and, although I normally ride an 18"-19" frame, this one is actually a pretty good fit.
The top tube on late 80s and early 90s Saracens is relatively short, so the larger sizes can still be a viable option.

This one is a real beauty.

Agree with all of that. Usually ride a 19-20" and the bigger saracen's come up small, which is the complete opposite of their modern bikes which come up massive!

Great bike - what more could you want for 100 coins?

Good luck with the sale.
