Saracen Trekker '88.

Mine was a 1989 model in green but had the U brake fitted under the chainstays, and cantilever fronts.

So I think it was just old stock painted new colours, and tarted up with XT components. Great bike though.

I quite like the U-brake mounted below, it mkae the wishbone frame look cleaner.

So, Tangent, woudl you like your trekker to go to a good new Home by any chance?

I have now got hold of an original saddle so thats sorted

And then I wanted to add another water bottle, I thought two yellow ones would look cool!

So I purchased a green one (thanks senick) and stripped both of them down and got both re powder coated.

Trouble is two cages at once is too crowded and you cant fit two bottles in so that was a waste of time!!

Luckily I now have this as well. I think it needs a yellow bottle cage!

I love the dedication of stripping and re painting the right bottle cages.

But I have found the XT version this time..........
