Just had another look at this, and I think it would look very good if the wheels had rims that were black; I've seen them fitted to other Saracens from this era, and they look rather fetching.
My first MTB was one of these with a 18" frame and it was a great bike. Tioga farmer johns and 500lx group was a big step up for me back in '89 and I always loved the geometry of the frame.
