very nice! I love the logo.

Do they still handmake bicycle tyres in holland or it that a thing of the past?

What's that bike you have there? a fine machine!

Velo Schauff

Hello from here!
I don't know, but somehow this is my favourite tyre brand. Every year I get a copy of their current product-catalogue: a kind of faculty book on contemporary bicycle tyres. K-Nobs are from the beginning of the last decade(luckily enough these were stored properly:no signs of aging),
as far as I know nowadays Vredestein does not make manufactured tyres.
The bike itself is a Velo Schauff (check out here:
http://www.schauff.de/schauff/index.php ... language=e) Highvoltage from '97. I purchased it 2 months ago:this is my current winter-workbike http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... &start=405
Non-marked cro-moly steel lugged frame,Shimano 100GS groupset(pedals NOS Shimano Exage Trail). A very solid bike, rides smooth, all parts work fine -as it is a brand new one. I've changed the originally fitted ugly steel mudguards to light plastic pieces an fitted the rubber flaps.

Still not a beauty, but absolutely functional.
