okay, so a very small update in the pedal department.....
bought a pair of used Speedplay Frog Titanium pedals, on eBay for a bargain price, and a new bearing kit at the same time. a wee half hour in the shed tonight and they're all cleaned up with new bearings installed.
a quick check on the scales shows a not insignificant weight saving between them and my XTR 959's :xmas-cool:

Now weigh your shoes...

I can't make my mind up about the bars but other than that the Salsa looks wkd ..

i totally agree, the ti bars suited it better, but from a comfort point of view, these are second to none, and they're lighter than the ti bars too.

they do them without the loop, and with the front of the loop cut away. i almost opted for them instead, but the extra hand positions option won me over

I have to agree that the cut away option does look better but if it doesn't fill your requirement then i get where your coming from mate ..
