I have a Spa Cycles Aire and I'm really pleased with it, the leather is thicker than Brooks I have and I think it's as well made. It has taken a long time to break in and it's still getting better, but I found it pretty comfortable from the start. Not light though.
On my "shopping bike" I have one of these, which I picked up because it was cheap on Ebay for £13.00: http://www.spacycles.co.uk/m2b0s81p3182 ... n-Gel-Flow. It's an ugly, bulky looking thing and I thought it might be a bit soft and squidgy, but it's actually quite firm and I find it very comfortable.
Now I just bimble about on mountain bikes for pleasure I prefer a more upright riding position than I did in my youth when I rode road bikes and did a bit of time trialling and I find that I favour a slightly wider saddle as well. I find a 150 to 160mm wide touring oriented saddle more comfortable than racier 130 to 140mm models.

I use a few different saddles on different bikes, but second the recommendation for the Specialized Body Geometry ones.
I have an Avatar on my all-purpose Karakoram Elite and did 108 miles on it the other day with just a 15 min lunch break. I use the 143mm one, but they also come in 130mm and 155mm.
I've got a couple of other models too, like a Toupe on one of my road use bikes, but it is really difficult without trying a saddle to find whether it's the right shape for you.

i know its sacrilege, but iv'e put a sports tourer gel saddle on my RC100 and its the best thing I ever did.
I still have the Selle italia turbo but i prefer to ride in comfort.

my butt took a while to re-adjust to a flite, but is now happy again on them.
I've a rolls on my Kilauea = total comfort. Ritchey saddles seem to be super comfey too.
I H A T E D my Spoon. Flared too much and rubbed my thighs raw, and never got comfortable.

I'm a bit of a turbo / rolls man, they really look the part, my daily rider and tourer is my thorn and I use an old turbo special, have to admit after 70 miles it starts to get 'hurty' but I've survived 100+ in a day on it, road miles mind, plus I only wear £10 dare2b cycling shorts.
