Last chance saloon for these, but it's a truth universally acknowledged that a sensible man in possession of a retrobike should have one saddle which he mounts on his bike to show it off, and another which he actually uses to sit on when riding. Here's a couple of retro tessies that will cosset your situpon a treat.

First up, a well used Madison in dolphin grey. Leather, with retractable bagloops, this was standard issue on mid 80's Ridgebacks. (I've got matching period anatomical grips which you ought to ask me to chuck in for free) £10

This one is a cushy Avenir Gel and looks unused. Not sure if it's leather - can't tell the difference - but it's well covered and so comfy, you will actually want to ride your bike. £8

Ooh: everyone should have one of these: so retro, so uncool it's ubercool - a derailleur guard. In a nickel finish, it's in great nick, looking like it's never had to guard anything but its own dignity. £6

Now here's a handy & good looking quill stem. Made for Marin in nickel finish, it's 1&1/8th, 110mm£8

Sold stuff below.

SOLD XT Rear mechanism. Long cage M735 it's nice and tight and looks great. £18 SOLD
SOLD Yup, it's a rare Giant Super Sierra from around 1987 or 1988. Back then, the Super Sierra was the top of the line Giant MTB and came dripping in M730 XT. (Here's a nice one built up: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mountainbike-photolog/61355845/).

This sale includes:

1987/88 Frame in trademark black chrome, with proper metal headbadge and the funky old school decals. She's double butted 4130 cro mo with matching forks. Condition is very good: some marks to the chrome from storage but it's obviously had an easy life.

OLN is 130mm at the back; Chainstay mounted rear brake can accomodate a u or rollercam; Cantis up front. Plenty of bosses.

Comes with a sought after 26.4mm Laprade seatpin, Giant branded Avocet saddle, and a QR. Also has a Shark fin, Tange headset, and Shimano BB (I think this is XT, as the rest of the components were). Both bearings are stiff and need re greasing.

Size is Seat tube C-C 20.5" with a 22" top tube. Remember this has a proper horizontal top tube, so is the equivalent of a 19" in new money.
Price is £40 posted. SOLD

SOLD Next some biopace chainrings that would suit the Giant a treat. VGC £7. SOLD

SOLD Old school Turbo in minty condition. Also is in a yellow script version which you don't see every day. £28 SOLD

SOLD Well lookee here -- perhaps the epitome of retro: an original Breeze Angell Hite Rite in top condition. Mounted but never used. £12 SOLD
