Sachs Maillard freewheel removal

Just double check that its the suntour two prong that fits into the recesses that you order and not the Regina two prong that is wider and fits across the Regina slots.

The two prongs have a habit of jumping off, even the recessed Suntour design, it needs holding in place with the skewer

What ever you do MAKE SURE you use the Q/R Skewer to hold the tool on to the (F/wheel body) two splines. Tighten it just enough so that when the f/wheel starts (maybe half a tun) to move it will lock up against the skewer & re adjust the skewer. if you don't then do this the tool will spin out & round off either the f/wheel slots or the the two lugs on the tool. They can be a real pain to get off so take your time.

Duly noted - ordered a tool so when it comes i'll have go - i'm assuming standard thread orientation?

Yep, standard right hand thread so anticlockwise to remove
