Hi, been on this forum a while but have never posted, here is my 1997 specialized s-works m2 (in progress). I hope this is allowed on this forum with the mix of newer and older components
Should be finished tomorrow, just need to put the drivetrain on (xt), and waiting for a seat post the right size to arrive. Not sure what the weight will be but it is incredibly light as it stands (with just the chain, cranks, pedals, seat and seatpost to go)
Spec:
18" 1997 s-works m2
Rockshox Duke 100mm travel forks (think these are 2003), got them last month only to find the steerer was too short, tried one of those steerer tube extenders which seems to work well
Mavic PSP M261 rims on Shimano LX Parallax hubs, put a new freehub on today to convert it to 9spd
Panaracer Razer xc 2.1 tyres
SLX shifter
XT rear mech
XT cranks
Magura Hs33 evo 2 Rear brake, I don't currently have a front brake, trying to decide between sourcing a pair of XTR v-brakes or getting another hs33 for the front
Thomson elite x4 stem
Ritchey wcs Carbon bars, Odi grips
Heres a few pictures, will update with some decent ones when its done! (sorry for the poor quality picture at the end, really doesn't do it justice)
