This was a working bike about 18months ago, but i kept it in storage at the coast and its got a lot of rust on it now. The rust is superficial and not structural but it needs sandblasting and refinishing.

Debate on if the corrosion is really surface or life threatening.

531 chainstays were pretty chunky so could be OK.

753 with corrosion like that would almost certainly be toast
