Works very well on boats too. My hull has no more.
It's thinned with white spirit when it's applied, so remember to leave it somewhere warm after you've sprayed it on, otherwise it stinks for months.

I always use waxoyl, a large tin will last a lifetime. Warm it up and add 20% White spirit. Used over 6,500 litres of the stuff last year alone and rate it very highly.
